Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Fowler Avenue home of Lisa M. Bianco about 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 14 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute, according to a statement from authorities.
While Bianco is accused of fleeing the home before the deputies arrived, other officers – members of the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit – were said to have been monitoring the emergency dispatch when they recognized Bianco as someone from whom they had recently purchased prescription drugs in connection to another investigation, according to police.
The narcotics officers responded to the Fowler Avenue area and found Bianco soon after, according to authorities, who said she possessed the prescription drugs along with a “small quantity” of marijuana.
Bianco was arrested at the scene and later arraigned in Kent Town Court, where she was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, according to police.
The 38-year-old was ordered held in the Putnam County jail on $5,000 cash bail, according to police, who said she is to answer to the criminal charges at a later date.
If convicted of the felony crime, Bianco faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
