Brewster Man Charged With Driving While Impaired In LaGrange

LAGRANGE, N.Y. -- A Brewster man faces misdemeanor charges of driving while impaired by drugs in LaGrange, state police said.

John P. Covais, 37, was stopped Wednesday on Route 55 in LaGrange by troopers from the Poughkeepsie barracks, police said.

Police said that Covais was pulled over for failing to stay in his lane.

An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs at the time, police said.

Covais was ticketed and ordered to appear in the LaGrange Town Court on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
