CARMEL, N.Y. - Edward Nix of Carmel died Sept. 18. He was 79.
Nix was born in Dover Plains, to Florence (Sherwood) and Ralph Nix. He worked for the Carmel Central Schools as a mechanic.
Nix is survived by his children, Edward, Robert, Timothy, Jonathan; brother, Vernon; sister, Carole Gallagher; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Sally; and son, James.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Cargain Funeral Homes Inc. with an interment follow at Union Cemetery.
