Warm, Wet Week Is Coming Up In Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Classic New York summer heat and humidity will remain in Putnam County through Wednesday, July 1,  before showers and thunderstorms break up the heat, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies will be partly sunny on Monday with a high temperature around 85 degrees. Temperatures are expected to dip to the high 60s during the evening.

Tuesday, July 1, will be mostly sunny with a high of 87 and a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms in the evening with a low of 70.

Showers and thunderstorms become more likely on Thursday, July 3, with a 60 percent chance and a high near 87.

Independence Day could feature more rain and thunder with a high of 78 degrees. Chance of rain is 60 percent.
