Howard brings a long history of public service and professional experience to her candidacy.
Howard has been employed with the Putnam Valley Department of Parks and Recreation since 1999, where she has been the senior clerk of the department since 2005.
Howard also currently serves as president of the Putnam Valley Historical Society, is an active member of the Putnam Valley Democratic Committee, is liaison to the Continental Village District Advisory Commission, volunteers with Caitlyn’s Fight, was a member of the Town’s 175th Anniversary Committee, and was awarded the prestigious Robert J. Uplinger Award from the Lion’s Club for Distinguished Community Service.
She also served as vice president of CSEA Local #840 for nine years.
Howard earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Hunter College and was a past member of New York Public Interest Research Group’s Speakers Bureau.
