Putnam Could See Showers Through Thursday

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sun will fight through the clouds in Putnam County on Tuesday before rain dominates the forecast through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. 

Increasing clouds will bring rain and possible thunderstorms to the area through Thursday.

Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm with a high around 77 degrees.  Isolated showers could move through the area during the evening. 

Rain will be more likely as cloud cover becomes more prevalent on Wednesday. High temperatures will once again be in the mid-70s.

Thunderstorms could threaten the area on Wednesday night. Temperatures will dip in to the 60s with a 70 percent chance of rain. 

Thursday will be more of the same: showers and possible thunderstorms could bring up to 2 inches of rainfall with a high in the low 70s. 

Skies will finally clear on Friday with temperatures in the high 60s.
