Patterson Man 51, Charged With DWI After Monday Traffic Stop

PATTERSON, N.Y. – A Patterson man was charged with driving while intoxicated by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department in connection with a Sept. 14 traffic stop.

Deputy Sheriff Frederick Mark stopped a motorist who allegedly committed a traffic violation on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast. Mark said the driver, Joseph P. DiPaolo, 51, of 37 Overlin Road, Patterson, was intoxicated.

DiPaolo was charged with misdemeanor DWI after allegedly failing a series of field sobriety tests. 

If found guilty, DiPaolo faces up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
