Minorities, Women Invited To Business Seminar In Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Putnam County Chamber, Putnam County Women's Leadership Alliance and Professional Women of Putnam will be hosting an event on how and why to become a minority- or woman-owned business at Spain Cornerstone Park on Route 52 and Fair Street in Carmel on Thursday, March 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Panelists will include Meghan Taylor, Empire State Development; Barbara Venturi, Women's Enterprise Development Center (WEDC); and Beth Lewis and Sue Musumeci of Tompkins Mahopac Bank.

The moderator will be Lisa Kaslyn of Proper Communications. A case study will be conducted by Marj Ciucci of MAC Creative Plan Solutions.

The suggested donation is $10. The event will include lunch catered by Grant Central Market. All proceeds will go to the Women's Resource Center.
