In results early Wednesday morning for the 3rd district, Toni Addonizio has 282 votes (61.71 percent) versus 169 (36.98 percent) for incumbent Louis Tartaro.
Addonizio is also seeking the Independence Party's ballot line through a write-in campaign against Tartaro. Results show that there are 23 write-in votes versus 18 for Tartaro, although it is not known how many are for the challenger.
Addonizio, who also has the Conservative Party's ballot line, plans to run in the November general election regardless of the primary outcome.
The 3rd district includes most of Kent.
For the 8th district, incumbent Dini LoBue is ahead of challenger Amy Sayegh by 229 votes (55.45 percent) to 183 (44.31).
LoBue also faces a write-in challenge for the Conservative line and is trailing by one vote, which is 12-11. Sayegh has a write-in challenge for the Independence Party line and leads by 16 votes to 9. It is not clear how many of the write-in votes for either party are for their Republican line opponents.
The 8th district includes Mahopac and Mahopac Falls.
