Along with her directorship in the Visitors Bureau, Pataki set up the Putnam Tourism Corp. in 2012, lohud.com said.

An investigation revealed that both nonprofits are in violation of state law because neither has a board of directors, reported lohud.com.

The Visitors Bureau gets roughly $250,000 from the state and county yearly, lohud.com noted.
