In Putnam’s Southeast, single lane closures are expected to occur between Exit 9 (I-84) and Exit 10 (Route 6/202) starting Monday, Feb. 6 and running through Friday, Feb. 10.
Northbound lane closures are expected to occur between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. and southbound lane closures, between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
In Westchester’s Harrison and North Castle, lane closures are expected to occur between Exit 1 (I-287) and Exit 3 (Route 22).
Northbound lane closures are set from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Wednesday, Feb. 8.
Southbound lane closures are set from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, and Friday, Feb. 10.
The state Department of Transportation is warning motorists to expect delays and is asking them to seek alternate routes where possible.
It is also asking them to be extra careful when traveling through the work zone area and to pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
