Carmel Man Faces Suspended Registration Charge

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. --  Lorenzo J. Bravo, a 25-year-old Carmel resident, was arrested after being accused of driving with a suspended registration on Wednesday, March 11, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Police said an officer stopped Bravo after he was speeding on Oscawana Lake Road in Putnam Valley. Upon investigation, the deputy determined that Bravo was driving with a suspended registration, police said. 

Bravo was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while registration is suspended, a misdeameanor. Bravo was released on his own recognizance pending a Sunday, April 19, appearance in Putnam Valley Justice Court to answer the charge. If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
