Black Ice Is Possible Through Friday Morning In Putnam

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- As temperatures fall below the freezing mark overnight Thursday into Friday, patchy black ice is possible until 10 a.m. Friday in Putnam.

Melted snow will refreeze, especially in low lying poor drainage areas, the National Weather Service warned in a statement issued 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution as travel may be slippery in spots.
