The cozy bistro, in the space that was formerly Sea Chic (on South Lake Blvd), has been open for three months, and serves up a blend of contemporary and traditional European, North African and Mediterranean flavors.
"We want to give you the best quality food - that's the most important thing," Abiraad told Daily Voice during a recent visit. "This kind of restaurant is very unique to Mahopac and this area. People love the food, and they love the restaurant. We're all about quality, and attention to detail. And everything is fresh."
Popular items include falafels, gyros, shawarma, filet mignon, lamb chops, zucchini fritters.
"We're pretty well known for our falafels," Chef Anthony Chach, a Mahopac resident and 2007 MHS graduate, said. "We're the only place around that does that.
"We also have an outside patio," Chach added, "and after dark this place feels kind of like New York City. There's nothing else like it in this town."
Lake View Bistro also specializes in house made desserts, including gelato and baklava.
The restaurant is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner and offers a variety of French, Italian, Lebanese and Moroccan inspired dishes.
