Medications must be kept in the original package. No sharps of any kind, lancets, syringes or epi pens will be accepted.
The Medication Take Back initiative encourages Putnam County residents to do the following:
- Take inventory of prescription, over-the-counter medicine, and pet medications.
- Lock the medicine cabinet.
- Dispose of unused, unwanted, and expired medicine at a proper disposal site.
- Take medicine(s) exactly as prescribed.
- Talk to children about the dangers of prescription drug abuse.
