Police ID Woman Hit, Killed By Car In Chicopee: 'She Leaves A Legacy Of Love' Authorities have identified the 34-year-old woman killed earlier this month after she was struck by a car in Chicopee. Vanessa Perez, of Springfield, was hit around 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, in the 1,200 block of Abbey Memorial Drive, Chicopee police said. Swastikas Spray-Painted On Norwich Street, Overpass Residents in Norwich woke up to disturbing sights Friday morning, Feb. 21, after antisemitic graffiti was spray-painted across multiple locations in the city. Hartford Police Not At Fault In Inmate's Death, Report Says: 'This Is A Sad Case' A Hartford woman who told officers she had recently used fentanyl was found dead inside a city jail cell, a state investigation determined. Linda Praylow, 49, was discovered unresponsive in her holding cell at the Hartford Police Department early in the morning of April 5, 2024.
