Area Man Convicted Of DWI By Jury
A Hudson Valley man has been convicted of DWI and traffic offenses after turning off his headlights while driving to avoid being seen by police.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced that Allan Jones, age 27, of Warwick, was convicted by a jury on Monday, Jan. 31.
During the trial, prosecutors argued that on Monday, Dec. 27, in the Town of Warwick, Jones drove a vehicle in a reckless fashion while turning off his headlights in an effort to avoid detection by the police.

Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, that after a four-week-long bench trial, Somers resident Jaime Paucar was found guilty for a crash he caused while intoxicated, which resulted in the death of two Ardsley residents.

Man Deliberately Drives Through Detour Barricade In Area, Injures Two Road Workers, Police Say
A man with 11 license suspensions has been arrested for allegedly deliberately driving his vehicle through a barricaded road that was being repaired, injuring two workers in the area.
Police arrested Sullivan County resident Jamiller Drayton, age 38, of Monticello on Thursday, June 10, following the incident.
Around 7:40 a.m., Thursday, Drayton was driving a 2009 Dodge Avenger on West Broadway in the Village of Monticello, when he approached a road closure at the intersection of Hillside Avenue, said Monticello PD Lt. Mark Johnstone.
