A Long Island woman who was arrested last year called and harassed a family member of the cop who cuffed her, police said Thursday, May 21.
Beatrix Lacroix, 31, was first arrested in October 2025 for fleeing police, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Then on Saturday, May 16, Lacroix “made a harassing phone call” to a relative of the officer who arrested her, authorities said.

A Long Island woman injured two police officers while resisting arrest after causing a car crash on Monday, April 27, police said.
Tiffany Saint-Gilles, of North Valley Stream, crashed into a parked car in a Valley Stream lot around 7 p.m. Monday, the Nassau County Police Department said.
When the 23-year-old woman in the parked car got out to exchange information, Saint-Gilles walked away and refused to cooperate, investigators said. Cops arrived on the scene and located Saint-Gilles, but she was “extremely uncooperative,” police said.

A late-night traffic stop in Farmingdale ended with a handgun discovery and two Hempstead residents under arrest, police announced on Sunday, Feb. 15.
Madison Nelson, 22, of 20 Gladys Avenue, and Jakhi Baggett, 19, of 40 West Columbia Street, were taken into custody after officers stopped a 2017 Hyundai on Conklin Street near Waverly Place at 11:56 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, according to the Eighth Squad.

A Hempstead man was arrested after allegedly riding a scooter without lights and fighting off officers as they discovered he had a loaded gun in Uniondale, Nassau County police announced on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
Selvin Watts, 42, of Brown Avenue, was stopped on an electric scooter at 12:15 a.m. on Argyle Avenue near Nassau Road, according to First Squad Detectives.
