Man Found Dead In Backyard Pool On Long Island Identified: Police
A man was found dead in a backyard swimming pool in Kings Park, Suffolk County police announced on Monday, May 18. Antonio Bonilla Jr., 47, was discovered unresponsive in an inground pool behind his Linden Avenue home at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police. Bonilla Jr., who lived at the home on the 22 block of Linden Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Millions of backyard pools sold nationwide are being recalled after nine toddlers drowned in them, officials said. The recall affects 48-inch and taller above-ground pools made by Bestway, Intex, and Polygroup, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Monday, July 21. About five million of the pools have been sold in the US since 2002, including some currently available online and in stores. A 25-year-old man died after being pulled unresponsive from a backyard swimming pool after a party at a home on Long Island Saturday, July 19, authorities said. A homeowner on Bloomington Street in Medford found Sleigan Laroc's body in the water at approximately 9:35 p.m., Suffolk County police said. Long Island Man Dies Over Week After Being Pulled Unresponsive From Pool
A Long Island man has died over a week after he was pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool. Emergency crews were called at around 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, after a 45-year-old man was found unresponsive in a residential pool in the hamlet of West Hills, on West Hills Road.
