Mass Shooting At CT Mall: Suspect In Custody After 5 Injured, Cops Say (Update) Five people were shot and a suspect is in custody after gunfire broke out Tuesday afternoon, May 27 at the Brass Mill Center Mall in Waterbury, police said. Waterbury Police officers responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 4:43 p.m. on May 27, at the Brass Mill Center, located at 495 Union Street, according to a statement from the Waterbury Police Department. Officers found five adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds. All were taken to local hospitals and were reported to have non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The group includes Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.
