Knife-Wielding Pair Rob Restaurant After Dinner On Long Island: Police
Two diners were arrested after allegedly stealing items from a restaurant and threatening employees with a knife on Long Island, authorities said.
The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at La Candela Restaurant on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, according to the Fifth Squad.
Jason Thompson, 45, of Bayside, and Dana Ardezzone, 47, of Queens Village, are accused of removing tableware items and hiding them in to-go bags after dining inside the restaurant, police said.

A Long Island woman pulled a knife and stabbed another woman to end an argument on Sunday, April 5, police said.
Marie-Lucie Auguste, 48, was arguing with a 47-year-old woman in Roosevelt just after 12 p.m. Sunday when the dispute turned physical, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Auguste, of Roosevelt, pushed the other woman to the ground, pulled a knife, and stabbed the victim in the arm, cops said. The 47-year-old woman responded by calling 911 in fear for her life.

A Roosevelt man working as an Uber driver threatened a passenger with a handgun in Atlantic Beach, Nassau County police announced on Sunday, Aug. 24.
James Watson, 63, displayed a gun and refused to let a 30-year-old woman enter his vehicle near 2035 Ocean Boulevard at 11:43 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, according to detectives.
Fearing for her safety, the victim canceled the ride, and Watson fled the scene, police said. Officers later stopped him near Nassau Expressway and Park Street, where they recovered a handgun during their investigation.
