A 15-year-old bicyclist was left in critical condition after being struck by a Lexus in Woodmere on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 7:23 p.m., Nassau County police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 24. A 75-year-old man was driving a 2003 Lexus northbound on Branch Boulevard, just north of Branch Gate, when he collided with the teen cyclist who was also heading north, detectives said. The boy sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition, police said. A Kings Park woman was seriously injured when her SUV collided with another vehicle in Dix Hills on Tuesday, July 29 at 11:49 a.m., Suffolk County Police announced. The 75-year-old was driving a 2021 Lexus SUV southbound on Half Hollow Road when she struck a 2022 Lexus at the intersection of South Service Road, according to police. A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car on Long Island. The wreck happened in Kings Park, near Indian Head Road and Manitou Trail, at around noon Friday, Feb. 28. A 64-year-old Kings Park man was riding his bicycle on the shoulder of the roadway when he was struck by a Lexus SUV driven by a 34-year-old Kings Park woman, Suffolk County Police said.
