A 26-year-old UConn dental student died after what his family calls a series of catastrophic failures at Bridgeport Hospital, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family.
Conor James Hylton died on Aug. 15, 2024, at Bridgeport Hospital’s Milford campus following what the lawsuit describes as “substandard care” and a “culture of inattentiveness,” according to the suit filed on Tuesday, March 31, in Bridgeport Superior Court.

Kyle Briand, of Montauk, was riding his bike on the night of Sunday, Aug. 10, when he was struck by a driver who fled the scene, his sister Amanda Corwin wrote on a GoFundMe page.
