Authorities identified two adults who died alongside three children when a fast-moving fire tore through their home in upstate New York.
Albany Police confirmed the victims as a father, 52-year-old Erick DeCamp, his three young children, ages 3, 4, and 6, and another adult, 47-year-old Eric Peterson.
Albany firefighters responded to the home on Twiller Street near South Bertha Street around 10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, and found the structure fully engulfed, Albany Police Chief Brendan Cox said. A total of five people were inside.

A father and his two young sons were killed in a devastating house fire Saturday night, May 31, in a Hudson Valley, NY town, authorities said.
Shane Munn, 40, and his two sons, ages 12 and 17, all died in the blaze at 876 Pulaski Highway in Goshen at approximately 8:10 p.m., according to New York State Police.

A man died in a house fire that broke out on Overlook Drive in Mastic, Suffolk County Police said on Monday, May 5.
Firefighters were called to 67 Overlook Drive at 6:40 p.m. after 911 callers reported a blaze consuming the home, according to a police release.
Two residents, John Gaeta, 80, and Maryann Gaeta, 81, were able to escape the flames. Their son, Frank Gaeta, 56, was found dead on the back deck, police said.

Jericho House Fire Leaves Family Dog Dead
A house fire on Long Island left a dog dead.
The blaze began at about 4 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 on Seaman Road in Jericho.
Responders arrived to find the home engulfed in flames from the second floor and heavy smoke throughout.
All residents made it out safely, though the family’s dog was found dead inside.
The Nassau County PD Arson Bomb Squad and the Nassau County Fire Marshal are investigating.
