A young child was found alone at a Long Island park, leading to the arrest of her grandmother, Nassau County police said.
Officers responded to Christopher Morley Park, 500 Searingtown Road in North Hills, for a report of a found juvenile around 2 p.m. on Monday, March 9, according to detectives.
When officers arrived, they located an unattended 4-year-old girl at the park, police said.
An investigation determined the child’s grandmother, Zhuying Ma, 68, of Roslyn Estates, had left the girl alone at the park and returned home, authorities said.

Son, Daughter's Abuse Led To Death Of Roosevelt Woman, Police Say
A brother and sister from Long Island are accused of abusing their elderly mother to the point the woman died.
Nassau County Police were called to a Roosevelt home at around 2:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, to perform a welfare check.
Inside, officers found 85-year-old Carmel McDougall unresponsive. She was taken to a hospital and died days later, on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
An investigation found that McDougall’s 65-year-old son, Michael McDougall, was responsible for the injuries that caused her death, police said.
