New York State Police say the suspect, Luis F. Contreras Paredes, age 25, of Peekskill, engaged in a physical altercation and stabbed the victim in Cortlandt on Crompond Road (Route 202) outside of My Second House Bar. on Wednesday, May 29. Paredes was charged with assault in the second degree, a Class D felony. Contreras Paredes was turned over to the custody of Westchester County Corrections for an active, unrelated arrest warrant.

Man's Body Found At Shopping Plaza In Northern Westchester Authorities are investigating after a man's body was found at a shopping plaza in Northern Westchester.  The body was found on Tuesday, Aug. 29 just before 10 a.m., when authorities responded to the Crossroads Plaza located at 1101 Main St. (Route 6) in Peekskill, according to Peekskill Police Lt. Adam Renwick.  There, police found a deceased man on the property of the plaza, who has not yet been identified, Renwick said.
