Bronxville High School Art, Music, Latin Students Collaborate on Project
BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville High School students recently collaborated on a project that incorporated their Latin, artistic, and musical talents. Students in Denise Flood’s Latin class wrote poetry based on myths and learned calligraphy and calligraphic techniques. They provided their peers in Courtney Alan’s studio art II class with a descriptive image about the myth’s setting and its characters’ traits. those students then students created illustrations and illuminated the calligraphic manuscript. Norwalk Fire Dept. Asks Residents To Adopt A Fire Hydrant
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Fire Department is asking residents to participate in Adopt-A-Hydrant program by adopting a fire hydrant close to home or business and keeping it free of snow during the winter. In the event of a fire, every minute counts. It is important that the fire department gain access to a water supply via a fire hydrant as quickly as possible. The Norwalk Fire Department is asking residents to shovel the area around their adopted fire hydrant after each snowfall. AP Government Students Stage Mock Presidential Debate At

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Students in AP government class at New Rochelle High School recently conducted a student-led mock presidential candidates' debate to a standing-room only audience last week. Debbie Minchin's AP government students researched and took on the roles of candidate, debate moderator, campaign manager, press secretary, and volunteer organizer. Students also conducted a voter registration drive in the high school and had peers vote for a candidate.

Millbrook School Graduate Drafted By Major League Lacrosse Team
MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- Millbrook School graduate of 2012, Tyler Albrecht, was selected by the Atlanta Blaze with the 15th pick in the Major League Lacrosse Draft. Albrecht is a senior at Loyola University in Maryland where last year he scored 23 goals and assisted on five while picking up 35 ground balls, and causing six turnovers. Albrecht posted on his Twitter page Sunday that he is "extremely grateful for the opportunity." Full MLL Draft results are available here.

Incoming Pleasantville Kindergarteners Must Submit Letters Of Intent
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Parents of incoming Kindergarteners for the 2016-17 school year, must fill out and return a letter of intent by Wednesday, Feb. 10. Children must be 5-years-old on or before Dec. 1, 2016 in order to be eligible to enter kindergarten in the upcoming year.
