One Killed, Five Injured In Three-Car Crash In Franklin Township: Prosecutor One person was killed and five people were injured in a three-car crash in Hunterdon County on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 22, authorities said. At 7:30 a.m., Franklin Township Police responded to a three-car crash at the intersection of Hogback Road, Route 617 and Lower Landsdown Road, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office said. Martinsville Firefighter Severely Injured In Crash Day Before Father's Greek Burial Support is on the rise for a New Jersey firefighter who was severely injured in a car crash the night before he was set his father's burial in Greece. Anthony Zougras, a Martinsville firefighter, was in the crash on Wednesday, Aug. 7, according to a GoFundMe set up to support his medical expenses. Zougras' father, Dionysios, had died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 21 and it was his wish to be buried in his hometown of Zakynthos, Greece, according to the fundraiser. Two People Fatally Struck By Truck In Elizabeth IDed: Authorities Two people in their 20s were fatally struck by a truck in Elizabeth on the evening of Sunday, Aug. 19, authorities said. Tatiana Liceth, a 26-year-old Elizabeth resident, and Edisson Mauricio, 24 , were crossing the roadway at Routes 1 and 9 and Maple Avenue, when a tractor trailer that was stopped at the light proceeded forward when the southbound light turned green, a spokeswoman for the city said. Liceth and Mauricio were fatally struck, while the driver remain on scene, authorities said. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.

Trenton Man IDed As Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Hit, Run Vehicle: Morris County Prosecutor A 35-year-old Trenton resident was identified as the man struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Parsippany Monday evening, Aug. 19, authorities said. Man Found Dead Inside Vehicle: Newark PD A man was found dead inside a vehicle in Newark on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 21, authorities said. At 4:01 p.m., police responded to Jones Street near Springfield Avenue on a report of an unresponsive male inside a vehicle, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. The man was pronounced dead at 4:23 p.m., Fragé said. The man has not been publicly identified and foul play is not suspected, Fragé said. The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.
