A 28-year-old employee of a school in the region faces a felony charge after allegedly endangering a disabled student, police said. The events leading to the arrest began in Northern Westchester at around 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, when a suspicious incident at the Shrub Oak International School at 3151 Stony St. prompted a police response, Yorktown Police announced on Friday, Nov. 15. Hudson Valley Fentanyl Dealer Nabbed During Ongoing Investigation, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was charged with the sale of a controlled substance during an ongoing investigation into fentanyl and drug sales in the region. Orange County resident Takai Jackson, age 27, of Newburgh, was busted by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force on Tuesday, Jan. 9 in Poughkeepsie. According to Sgt. Adam Harris of the Dutchess County task force, during the investigation Jackson was identified as moving drugs in the region. Man With 33 Convictions Sentenced For Hudson Valley Domestic Violence Attack
A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to aggravated family offense for attacking a person under a protective order. Dutchess County resident Lorenzo Jackson, age 59, of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced in Orange County to one-and-half to three years in prison for the November 2022 incident in New Windsor, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Just two months after joining the New York City Police Department in the summer of 2001, Ivan Morales was among countless first responders who descended on the mangled debris and rubble of the World Trade Center in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks, working tirelessly to find survivors and recover the remains of those who died.
