A traffic stop near a crash scene turned into a police pursuit with three children inside the vehicle, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, June 2.
Robert J. Tighe, 36, of Schenectady, was charged after fleeing a State Police investigator during a traffic stop on Alternate State Route 7 in Colonie, according to a release.
The incident happened around 8:47 a.m. on Friday, May 29, while traffic was backed up due to an ongoing crash investigation, police said.
