Police Dog Sniffs Out More Than 100 Grams Of Cocaine During Capital Region Traffic Stop: Nysp
A Capital Region man was busted with more than 100 grams of cocaine in a traffic stop on the New York State Thruway, police said.
Peter Moore, 39, of Schenectady, was a passenger traveling westbound on I-90 in a 2023 Jeep on Thursday, Sept. 3 when state troopers witnessed a traffic violation around 8:30 p.m. near Exit 25 in Schenectady, New York State Police said.
With the assistance of a police dog, investigators searched the vehicle and found more than 100 grams of a white powdery substance inside, which later tested positive for cocaine, authorities said.

Several Hand Soaps Sold In NY Recalled Over Bacterial Contamination Risk
Several hand soaps distributed across the Northeast are being recalled because they may be contaminated with bacteria.
Intercon Chemical Co. issued the voluntary recall for six hand soap products, according to a Food and Drug Administration enforcement report classified on Friday, Sept. 11.
The soaps were distributed through wholesalers and a retailer in New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. They were also available in North Carolina, Mississippi, North Dakota, Nebraska, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Georgia, California, Illinois, Iowa, Texas, and Washington.

Starving Dog Rescued From Shocking Conditions In New York Basement: Officials
A young Long Island man left a starving dog locked in a basement with little to eat, authorities said Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Isaiah Thomas, 20, of Wheatley Heights, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 15 on two animal cruelty charges, the Suffolk County SPCA said.
Thomas owned a 4-year-old Cane Corso named Apollo, then confined the dog to a basement secured by a metal door that was held closed by three vehicle tires, investigators said.
