A small but striking study is giving cancer researchers another reason to closely watch a new kind of treatment. An experimental personalized mRNA vaccine showed lasting results in some patients with pancreatic cancer, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City reported. The phase 1 trial involved 16 patients who received the vaccine after pancreatic cancer surgery, along with chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug.
