Driver Seriously Injured In Fall From Moving Vehicle At Long Island Gas Station
A man is hospitalized after falling from a moving vehicle at a Long Island gas station. The incident happened in Ronkonkoma, at the Mobil station on Ronkonkoma Avenue, at around 8:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23. Suffolk County Police said a 48-year-old Ridge man pulled his Ford vehicle up to a gas pump and was getting out when it rolled forward. The man fell to the pavement and suffered serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital. Detectives asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Suffolk County Police Department at 631-854-8452.

Immigrants Defrauded Out Of $40K By Fake Attorney: Nassau DA
A Ronkonkoma woman will spend up to four years in prison after posing as an immigration attorney and defrauding undocumented immigrants of more than $40,000, the Nassau County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday, Dec. 18. Tania Gonzalez, 48, also known as Tania Ayala, pleaded guilty earlier this year to grand larceny and scheme to defraud charges. Two years after a beloved husband and father was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the Long Island Expressway, police are no closer to catching his killer. Robert Twiford, age 61, of Melville, died Dec. 5, 2022, after being struck on the off-ramp of eastbound I-495 at exit 60 in Ronkonkoma. A man who confessed to shooting and killing two men at a Long Island home will spend decades behind bars.
