Nassau County Woman Still Missing, Second LI Resident Located Hours After Alert Issued

One of two Long Island women who were reported missing within hours of each other has been located.
Susan Blackmore, age 68, of South Farmingdale, had last been seen leaving her Plitt Avenue residence at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4.
On Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5, Blackmore's sister confirmed that she had been located and was safe. No other details were given.
Nassau County Police are still asking for help in locating Madeline Garone, age 95, who was last seen in East Meadow at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Francisco Benitez, 14, Reported Missing In Hempstead
Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island.
Francisco Benitez, age 14, was last seen at his Hempstead home at around 6:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, according to Nassau County Police. He was reported missing two hours later.
Benitez is 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing gray and black plaid pajama pants, a black hoodie, a black jacket, and white sneakers.

John Marshall, age 66, of Baldwin, had last been seen in East Meadow at around noon on Tuesday, Nov. 19, according to Nassau County Police.

Missing 19-Year-Old From Levittown Found 10 Days After Disappearance
A teenager from Long Island has been located 10 days after his disappearance.
Jared Schwerdt, age 19, had last been seen leaving his Levittown residence on a blue-and-white bicycle Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 5:40 p.m., according to Nassau County Police.
On Friday morning, Nov. 8, police announced that he has been found.

Westbury Man Raped 5-Year-Old Girl, Police Say
A Long Island man is accused of sexually abusing a young girl.
Wilson Castillo Diaz, age 26, of Westbury, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 22, following an investigation by the Nassau County Police Department’s Special Victims Squad. The case was publicized Friday, Nov. 1.
According to police, Diaz raped a 5-year-old girl in Westbury on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Authorities did not elaborate on the nature of his relationship to the child.
The victim was taken to a hospital and evaluated following the alleged attack.

Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island.
Ariya Shingler, age 14, was last seen leaving Hempstead High School at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, according to Nassau County Police. She was reported missing Wednesday afternoon.
Shingler is 5-foot-3 and 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing tan pants, a black sweatshirt, a pink bonnet, and was carrying a black handbag.
