The Nassau County Marine Bureau responded to the vessel near Success Rock in Sands Point at 7 p.m., according to Nassau County Police. Eight passengers were aboard the boat as it took on water. The Town of North Hempstead Bay Constables, US Coast Guard, Rye Police Department Marine Bureau, and FDNY Marine Bureau also responded to assist, police said.
