Attempted Murder: Man Tries Stabbing Woman To Death At Inwood Home, Police Say A man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly trying to stab a woman to death at a Long Island home. The incident happened in Inwood, at a residence on Mott Avenue, at around 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. Nassau County Police said officers responded to the home for reports of a disturbance. They found a 42-year-old woman on the ground with lacerations on her arm and face. The victim was taken to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.
