Capital Region Man Beats Victim Unconscious, Police Say A Capital Region man was nabbed for allegedly beating another person unconscious that he did not know. The incident occurred in Saratoga County around 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in Clifton Park. According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the victim, suffering from multiple visible injuries, went to the State Police headquarters to report the crime. An investigation determined the victim was in the area of Maxwell Drive when they were allegedly approached by Malik L. Mercedes Theft Leads To Arrest Of Man From Region For DWI/Drugs, Police Say A Hudson Valley man nabbed for the alleged theft of a 2005 gold Mercedes from a Budget 19 Motel led to his arrest for a host of charges, including alleged DWI/Drugs.  The incident occurred in Ulster County around 8 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Budget 19 Motel on Route 28 in Kingston. 16-Year-Old Girl From Region Stabbed By Boyfriend, Police Say A 16-year-old girl is recovering after allegedly being stabbed by her boyfriend during a fight. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 31 Eliza St., in Beacon. According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, officers found the teen bleeding when they responded to a call for a woman who had been stabbed. The girl was bleeding from what appeared to be a stab wound to her leg, Figlia said. She was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.
