Cocaine-Fentanyl Trafficking Operation Busted In Capital Region
A major cocaine and fentanyl operation of 21 individuals who were charged with 222 crimes was busted following a year-long investigation in the Capital Region. New York Attorney General Letitia James said the "takedown" occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in New York City and Rensselaer, Albany, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties. According to James, the operation was responsible for selling large quantities of powder and crack cocaine, as well as fentanyl and heroin. Voters in New York are being warned about scammers who are trying to confuse them ahead of the state’s primary elections.
