Dealer Nabbed After Overdoses, Complaints From Residents In Regions: Police Following a day of recent drug overdoses in the region, a drug task force nabbed a dealer who was allegedly selling fentanyl and crack cocaine. Dutchess County resident Leonardo De La Cruz, age 25, of Poughkeepsie was charged on Monday, Oct. 7, with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell after complaints and tips from residents. Fentanyl-Cocaine Dealers Nabbed In Region, Police Say Two alleged drug dealers were nabbed with fentanyl, cocaine, and a weapon following an investigation into narcotics sales in the area. The arrests occurred in Dutchess County on Thursday, Sept. 12, at a residence on Violet Avenue in Hyde Park. The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force investigated narcotics sales after receiving numerous complaints regarding drug activity around the residence, said Det. Sgt. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Loaded Gun Following Chase, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was nabbed with a loaded semi-automatic ghost gun after a chase with police. The incident occurred in Orange County on Wednesday, July 24, around 11 p.m. in the area of Third Street and City Terrace in the city of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Chief of Staff Mike Neppl, detectives from the department's Non-Fatal Shooting Task Force were patrolling the area, which has experienced a rash of narcotics complaints and shooting incidents.
