Albany Man, 44, Run Over, Killed By His Own Truck After Mechanical Failure: Police A 44-year-old Albany man was fatally run over by the food truck that he was operating after a mechanical failure forced him out of the vehicle Thursday, Dec. 5 in Rockland County, authorities said. Orange County resident Kirkland Salmon, age 42, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to criminal possession of a controlled substance, sale of a firearm, and conspiracy on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Under the plea agreement, the Orange County District Attorney's Office will recommend that he be sentenced to 12 years in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in December.
