Death Of 3-Year-Old At Home In Region Under Investigation Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-year-old child at a Capital Region home. Emergency crews in Saratoga County were called to a Corinth residence on Main Street for a child who was struggling to breathe at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19. The child was transported to Saratoga Hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies did not speculate on a cause of death. An official cause will be determined by the Saratoga County Coroner's office. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a Malta residence on Sunset Gulch for a fight in progress shortly after midnight Wednesday, Feb. 19. They found a victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest, sheriff’s officials said. The victim was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition. Man Found Sleeping In Stolen Car At Gas Station In Region, Police Say A man is facing charges after he was allegedly found sleeping in a stolen car at a Capital Region gas station. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7-Eleven on Route 50 in Wilton for a welfare check at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. Deputies arrived to find Joseph Plummer, 35, of Galway, asleep in a vehicle at a gas pump, the agency said. He had been sleeping in the car, which had been reported stolen out of Massachusetts, for several hours, according to police. Saratoga County resident Alim Mohammed, age 34, of Moreau, was charged on Friday, Sept. 27, in Lamplighter Acres in Moreau. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office, an investigation into the incident found that Mohammed is accused of forcibly raping the woman while supplying her with alcohol and marijuana.  He is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 17 and criminal sale of marijuana, the Sheriff's Office said.
