Deadly AutoZone Altercation: Cops ID Gunman, Victim In Hudson Valley Incident Authorities have released details and the identities of the individuals involved in a deadly AutoZone altercation this week in the Hudson Valley. Surveillance footage shows that Xavier Webb, 25, of Newburgh, was approached by 40-year-old Carlos Colon at the AutoZone on Broadway on Monday, Jan. 6, Newburgh police said. Webb then pulled out a gun and shot Colon, police said. Officers administered medical aid at the scene before both men were taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital, where Colon died. Webb is being treated for what appear to be non-life-threatening wounds. One Dead, Another Injured In Violent Altercation At Hudson Valley Auto Parts Store A violent altercation at an Orange County auto parts store left one man dead from a gunshot and another injured from stab wounds, police said. The incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 6, at the AutoZone store at 536 Broadway in Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, spokesman for the city of Newburgh Police, officers responding to a call for a stabbing discovered two men injured at the store. One man had sustained stab wounds, while the other was shot at least once. Officers immediately rendered medical aid to both individuals. Fatal Hudson Valley Crash: 26-Year-Old ID'd As Victim A two-vehicle crash in the region claimed the life of one person and injured another. The collision occurred in Orange County at 11:15 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, on Route 32 in Newburgh. According to the town of Newburgh Police Lt. Matthew Nadolny, a preliminary investigation determined that a 2007 Ford Econoline van, operated by Leonel Marquez-Martinez, age 36, of Wallkill, was traveling southbound on  Route 32.  Nadolny said a 2015 Chevrolet Volt operated by Marcus Bennett, age 26, of Montgomery, was traveling northbound when the two crashed. Hudson Valley 19-Year-Old Drowns In Home Pool A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man died after being found unresponsisve in a home pool. The incident occurred in Orange County around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 on Meadow Streeet in the town of Newburgh. According to Lt. Matthew Nadolny of the town of Newburgh Police, when patrol arrived, they found they found the teen  unresponsive in the pool.  Officers were able to pull him from the water and began life-saving measures.
