Pilot, Student Survive Plane Crash At Essex County Airport A plane crashed at the Essex County Airport this weekend after its landing gear malfunctioned and failed to deploy, authorities said.  The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, when a Piper Seminole P-44 crash-landed on its belly. CT Teen Killed In Shelton Hit-Run Crash On Route 8, Others Seriously Injured A 14-year-old Connecticut girl was killed and two others were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Route 8 early Sunday morning, Jan. 12.  Chloe Ramsubhag, of Waterbury, was riding in a Honda Del Sol when for unknown reasons, an SUV crashed into the rear of the vehicle just after 12:30 a.m. near Exit 7, Connecticut State Police said. Driver Cut From Wreckage Following Horrific Crash On I-95 In Westport Firefighters in Connecticut had to cut a driver from their car following a serious crash early Saturday morning, Jan. 12.  The crash happened just after 3 p.m. on I-95 near Exit 18 in Westport.  Photos of the crash, show a mangled car that seemed no one would survive, but Westport firefighters were able to cut them from the wreckage to rush them to an area hospital.  Authorities did not release the driver's name or their condition.  Little is known about the cause of the crash, but Westport police are investigating the cause.

Man Found Covered In Blood Dies At Norwich Hospital; Police Rule It Homicide Police in Connecticut are investigating a homicide after a man covered in blood was found Friday night, Jan. 10, authorities said.  Police were called to the 100 block of Baltic Road in Norwich just after 11:30 p.m. where they found the man. Paramedics rushed him to William W.
