59-Year-Old Woman Hit, Killed By Car On Rocky Hill Highway ID'd Authorities have identified the 59-year-old Connecticut woman killed over the weekend after a car crashed into her. Bisera Djurkovic, of Rocky Hill, was hit around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, in the area of 1864 Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill, authorities said. Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries, Rocky Hill police said. The driver was not hurt. Pilot, Student Survive Plane Crash At Essex County Airport A plane crashed at the Essex County Airport this weekend after its landing gear malfunctioned and failed to deploy, authorities said. Driver Cut From Wreckage Following Horrific Crash On I-95 In Westport Firefighters in Connecticut had to cut a driver from their car following a serious crash early Saturday morning, Jan. 12. The crash happened just after 3 p.m. on I-95 near Exit 18 in Westport. Photos of the crash, show a mangled car that seemed no one would survive, but Westport firefighters were able to cut them from the wreckage to rush them to an area hospital. Authorities did not release the driver's name or their condition. Little is known about the cause of the crash, but Westport police are investigating the cause.
