Long Island Man Accused Of Assaulting Police Medic
A man was arrested on Long Island after allegedly assaulting a police medic, according to authorities.
The incident occurred just before 5:40 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, in Plandome Manor.
Nassau County Police said Nicholas Vulpis, age 53, a resident of Plandome Manor, was being evaluated at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset when he became violent and struck one of the NCPD medics in the leg, causing swelling, bruising, and substantial pain.
Vulpis was arrested at the hospital, and the medic was treated and released.

1,000-Plus Vehicles Screened, Trio Charged At Thanksgiving Eve Checkpoint In Hamptons
More than 1,000 vehicles were screen and three drivers were charged during a Thanksgiving Eve sobriety checkpoint on Long Island.
The operation was held in Hampton Bays from 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 to 12:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day on Thursday,Nov. 28, on Flanders Road (Route 24), according to Southampton Town Police.

Pair Of Brentwood Teens Has Been Missing 5 Days
Authorities are asking for help in locating two missing teenagers from Long Island.
Angel Maceria, age 15, and Naia Beck, age 17, both of Brentwood, were last seen on Thursday, Nov. 21, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Beck was last seen wearing a green t-shirt and gray sweatpants, while Maceria was wearing a blue flannel shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
The two may be traveling together.

A man is being sought in connection with an identity theft that resulted in a $900 loss at a Long Island bank.
Nassau County Police said the incident happened on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the Capital One bank on Grand Avenue in Baldwin. Investigators said the suspect entered the bank, filled out a withdrawal slip using someone else’s identity, and withdrew $900 in cash.

Three people were seriously injured in a fiery crash on Long Island.
The crash occurred at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, when a 2017 Kia Sportage veered off Cliff Road in the village of Belle Terre, struck a tree, and caught fire, according to Suffolk County Police said.
The vehicle was traveling northbound between Old Homestead Road and Bell Circle at the time.
