$3K Facebook Marketplace Flip Lands Albany County Man Behind Bars, Cops Say
A New York man accused of stealing a trailer and then selling it on Facebook Marketplace has been arrested, state police announced Thursday, May 28.
Joaquin A. Noa Dos Santos, 23, of Albany, was charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree possession of stolen property, New York State Police said.
The trouble began on Oct. 5, 2024, when an Oswego County resident purchased the trailer from Dos Santos for more than $3,000 at a meeting in North Greenbush, authorities said.

The disappearance and death of a New York City man found buried in a possible mob dumping ground in the Hudson Valley has led to one conviction, authorities announced Wednesday, May 27.
Shlomo Patchiav, 45, of Queens, was found guilty of extortion conspiracy in the case of Shehroz Tokhirov, the Justice Department said.
Tokhirov’s remains were found in two large duffle bags behind a home in Ellenville on Feb. 21, 2023, according to investigators. In the days afterward, state police told reporters the address may have been used by the Russian mob to conceal dead bodies.

Bruce Springsteen is turning up the volume on a fight he has already taken to the stage.
Springsteen's representatives announced on Thursday, May 28, that he will return to the DC area on Saturday, Oct. 3, as a special guest at the first-ever "Power to the People" festival. The post described the event as "another night of music and resistance."
