A New York State Police recruit says she was partially strip-searched by superiors during her time at the agency’s academy, according to a new report.
Daiana Doran, 34, had been accused of concealing an Apple Watch while she was attending the academy’s 28-week training course, the Albany Times-Union reported Sunday, July 26.
Doran filed a notice of claim, a typical precursor to a lawsuit, in which she detailed the experience, according to the Times-Union. The search began with troopers tossing her dorm room but coming up empty in the search for the watch, according to the notice of claim.
