Man Driving Stolen Car Rams Deputy's Patrol Vehicle On Capital Region Highway, Police Say
An attempted traffic stop on a highway in the region ended with a deputy’s patrol car rammed and the alleged culprit in handcuffs. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, on I-87 in Clifton Park. According to sheriff’s officials, a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle in the northbound lanes near Exit 10 after learning that it had been stolen from outside a Stewart’s Shops on Route 146. Halfmoon 13-Year-Old Natalia Andrew Reported Missing
Police are asking for help in locating a 13-year-old girl from the region who has been missing for two days. Saratoga County resident Natalia Andrew, of Halfmoon, was last seen on Saturday, May 4, according to sheriff’s officials. Andrew is 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt with white lettering, jeans, and plaid sneakers. Investigators said she may have traveled to south Troy. Capital Region Man Sells Stolen Car To Dealership, Police Say
Talk about a lemon. A man from the region is facing charges after allegedly selling a stolen vehicle to a dealership. Rensselaer County resident Mousse Saiid, age 42, of Troy, was arrested on Friday, April 26, on grand larceny and related charges. New York State Police said a Saratoga County car dealership located in Malta contacted troopers in early April 2024 saying they had purchased a vehicle that turned out to be stolen from New York City in the previous December. Authorities have identified a woman killed in a head-on highway crash in the region that left another man injured. The Albany County wreck happened just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, in Bethlehem, on State Route 85 near the Albany city limits. Bethlehem Police said a 28-year-old Saratoga County man from Clifton Park was driving westbound on Route 85 when he crossed over the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle. A 30-year-old man was all smiles after being arrested in connection with a violent robbery that left another person injured at a home in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at a residence on Route 29 in the town of Galway. An accused rapist and animal abuser from upstate New York is now charged with choking the Long Island mother of his infant son while holding the child. Two suspected storage unit thieves are facing charges thanks to a tip from a vigilant passerby.
