Man Headed To Prison For Sexually Abusing Child In Hudson Valley A man has been sentenced to prison for sexually abusing a child under the age of 13 in the region. Sullivan County resident Anthony Villegas, 49, of Monticello, pleaded guilty and was sentenced in Orange County Court to nine years in prison, followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. According to Orange County District Attorney David Hoolver, Villegas admitted that between June 2010 and April 2011, he engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, which included at least one act of sexual intercourse with an individual who was under 13 years old. Duo Nabbed After Driver Held At Gunpoint In Schenectady, Police Say Two people have been charged after they allegedly held a taxi driver in the Capital Region at knifepoint and stole money, causing injuries. Schoharie County residents James R. Parker, age 26, and Nicole Zielinski, age 50, both of Cobleskill, were charged on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Some Police Services To Be Cut By Village In Hudson Valley Residents of a village in the region were informed of a police service cut only two days before it took effect. The change is taking place in Dutchess County. As of Friday, Nov. 15, at 11:59 p.m., the Village of Wappingers Falls Police Department's operational hours will shift from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed On 6 Counts Of Rape Of Minor, Police Say A man is behind bars for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old girl in the region. Ulster County resident Tito Nunez-Hernandez, age 32, of Lake Katrine, was charged with six counts of rape on Tuesday, Nov. 12. 1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized In Chain-Reaction Crash In Orange County One person was killed and another injured when a Nissan van traveling north on a busy stretch of I-87 rear-ended a bobtail 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer that was slowed in the right lane of traffic. The collision occurred in Orange County at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the town of Woodbury. According to New York State Trooper Sgt.
