A Capital Region man won a $5 million top prize in a New York Lottery scratch-off game, lottery leaders announced Monday, April 6. Daniel Jeffries, a Troy resident, scratched off one of four top prizes in the 200 Extra game, officials said. The game costs $20 per ticket. Jeffries bought his winning ticket at Stewart’s Shops on 10 Sweetmilk Creek Road in Troy, according to the lottery. The top prize-winning TAKE 5 ticket was purchased at the Alltown Fresh store in Hudson, located at the intersection of US Route 9 and Route 23.
