Bus Crash That Killed Band Director, Teacher In Hudson Valley Caused By Faulty Tire: NTSB A charter bus crash that killed two Long Island educators on a Hudson Valley highway in 2023 was caused by a damaged tire, according to the final accident report. The report – released by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on Thursday, July 24 – found that prolonged underinflation and prior impact damage caused the left-front tire to blow. That sent the bus careening through a cable barrier and tumbling down an embankment on I-84 in Wawayanda on Sept. 21, 2023. Teen Fleeing From Police Killed In Hudson Valley Crash A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man is dead after being hit by an SUV while allegedly engaging police in a pursuit. Orange County resident Noe Dominguez, of New Hampton, a small hamlet in the town of Wawayanda, died around 7:20 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at the intersection of Route 6 and Dolson Avenue in Wawayanda.
